“And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son.
And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck. And she gave the savoury meat and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hands of her son, Jacob.
And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son?
And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me.
And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.
And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him and said, The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau’s hands: so he blessed him.
Genesis, Chapter 27, verses 15-23

The course of events lately seems to be that after the party ousts a popular long serving leader it gets a care taker for a couple of years who then loses the next election and then spends several years burning through useless political hacks until it finds one that can actually win. We’ll see if the form holds for the third time but it seems like we are off to a good start with Red Ed.

Well Brian it might depend upon how they get rid of the party leader!! Look at the Australian experience. Covert Marxist KRUDD was stabbed in the back by Julia-the-Marxist Gillard who put herself in as caretaker Prime Minister. She called an election and we ended up with a hung Parliament.
I am thinking I should run a book to see how long this shambles of a govt lasts. We did not vote to put Gillard back into the office of Prime Minister….
Anyway, I agree… that what normally happens is that there is a run on leaders before the parliamentary boys and girls decide to stick with one person. Again we are playing the waiting game with the Opposition, although it looks like Tony Abbott is safe… and he is playing the game quite well.
So.. how long before we can end our misery before Gillard and the watermelons wreck our economy? I am hoping that it will be a few months… but more likely it will probably last about 12 months. Gillard has no room to move because things are that tight. The watermelons have her hamstrung and she is doing their bidding…this is not good news.
