As Jimmy Paige once wrote – or was it Robert Plant? – “It makes me wonder”. I wonder what defect it is in the psychological makeup of a group of human beings that would have them putting the health and well being of millions of other human beings behind the private profit of a very few. Most of these lawmakers who live in the pockets of the Plutocracy call themselves “Christians”. Have they ever made a serious study of the books? You know! – Matthew, Mark, Luke and John? – Those guys! How do they justify their actions? How do they sleep at night? We’re talkin’ major hypocrisy here! That’s what makes them so much fun to watch! I always get a certain twisted delight in watching their fake piety. Imagine Wendy O. Williams being cast as Bernadette of Lourdes; or Marilyn Manson as Mahatma Gandhi. It’s kind of the same thing.

Sooner or later our right wing friends, within the Congress and without, are going to be forced to admit that the era of anything goes deregulation was a really stupid idea. You can only sit calmly in a burning house, ignoring the flames all about you, for just so long. Sooner or later you’ll be forced to flee for your life. After making your escape, if you still refuse to acknowledge that the house is indeed on fire, you’re beyond the point where you can make rational decisions on your own. You’ve entered Librium Country, hombre!

The former leader of the Opposition in Australia, Malcolm Turnbull is a former Goldman Sachs employee. Turnbull was a proponent of the same Crap n Tax legislation here in Australia. When Turbull was defeated in a leadership spill that Crap n Tax legislation ended up being defeated in the Senate.

For the past several months the Govt has been very quiet about Crap n Tax. The truth of the matter is that the defeat could have been used to trigger a double dissolution. However, they did not take that course – here is why – the Climategate scandal opened peoples’ eyes. By waiting the govt is hoping that the sheeple will forget all about the attempt to ram through Crap N Tax.

Now back to Turnbull, and his past association with GS. As you have rightly pointed out, GS have bought into the Chicago Carbon trading exchange. I have no doubt that GS is active in Europe with the same crap of trading licenses.

The fact of the matter is that this trading will do nothing to reduce emissions around the world. It is just like the junk bonds of the past – I am including here a previous time when these exchanges got out of hand with their junk bonds and also caused a global crisis I think it was around the 1970s early 80s when that one happened – just not sure of its timing – there will be trading but there is nothing substantial that is being given in the trading.

To follow the money means looking at the setting up of the schemes that brought about the crisis in the first place. GS might have had a hand in the set up but another name is mentioned – Andrew Cuomo was the director of HUD when those affordable housing loan schemes were first introduced. This happened when he was just out of university and still very green in that he had no experience in the field. Everything points back to Jimmy Carter and that housing affordability scheme. The rest is just the profiteering that comes when things are not regulated adequately in the first place.

The tea party movement is against the impact of big government. That does not mean that most would be against sensible regulation of the banks. The thing is that when such regulation is left up to the Dem-elites there are always extremely nasty surprises. In this case the nasty surprise will be had by the community banks which have not been involved in the scandals. This will leave Freddie and Fannie unfettered in their activity.
